Urs Baumann studied architecture at the Università della Svizzera italiana in Mendrisio and participated in an Erasmus programme at the TU Delft in the Netherlands before receiving his diploma in 2002. From 2002 to 2007 Urs Baumann worked in architectural offices in Baden, Dublin and Zurich as project manager where he supervised various projects from planning to construction. From 2007 to 2016 he held various positions at Implenia Schweiz AG, most recently as a member of the division management and responsible for project development in German-speaking Switzerland. In 2015, Urs Baumann completed his Master's degree Executive MBA at the University of Zurich. Since October 2016 he helds the position of Head of the Group-wide Division for Sustainability and Innovation at Swiss Prime Site AG. Urs Baumann lives in Wettingen, is married and has two children aged nine and eleven.
